Hansen Sworn In as Minden Police Officer
Council announcements included progress recognition, congratulations, and news during the April 15 regular meeting of the Minden City Council. Mayor Larry Evans read his mayoral proclamation for Week of the Young Child during the meeting. Alyssa Schneider commented on all of the celebrations held throughout the community for Week of the Young Child. She also invited residents to join the Minden Tree Board for a tree planting and giveaway at Chautauqua Park on April 26 at 3:00 p.m. for Arbor Day.
New Minden Chamber Director Excited to Help His Hometown
The Minden Chamber of Commerce has a new director with a familiar face. Minden native Josh Jorgensen began his role as the Minden Chamber of Commerce Director on April 15. Born and raised in Minden, Jorgensen grew up working in the family business and on the family farm. After graduating from high school, he left town to pursue a higher education earning a B.S., M.S., and D.B.A. Putting his degrees to use, he worked in college athletics in varying capacities for several years before returning to take over the family farm in 2019.
