New law gives cities more teeth to limit liquor stores
RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLBT) - Come July 1, cities across the state will have a greater say in where liquor stores can and can’t operate within their corporate limits. Gov. Tate Reeves recently signed H.B. 776, a measure that gives municipalities the ability to amend their zoning laws to provide more limitations on where package stores can set up shop.

Family Campout to be held at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park
The Mississippi State Parks team is inviting families to join them for a fun-filled campout on Friday, May 17, 2024, at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park. Registration ended on Friday, May 10, 2024. Officials said four-person tents and sleeping pads, with additional tents available for larger families, will be provided.
