SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, California (KOLO) - A small wildfire that broke out in South Lake Tahoe is under investigation. The South Lake Tahoe Fire Department and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office responded to an area near Van Sickle Park just before 11:00 a.m. Wednesday for a reported fire.

Heated discussion on minimum wage ends with ‘Let’s vote’
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – City Council halted an item establishing a local minimum wage ordinance and potentially increasing the minimum wage in the City of South Lake Tahoe. Councilmember Tamara Wallace made a motion directing the city manager to take no action establishing a local minimum wage, seconded by Councilmember Cristi Creegan. The motion passed 3-1 with both Wallace and Creegan, along with Mayor Cody Bass, voting yes. Councilmember Scott Robbins voted no.

Man arrested for DUI after Tahoe crash
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CALIF. (KOLO) - A Pollock Pines man was arrested on felony DUI charges after a Saturday crash in the Lake Tahoe area. California Highway Patrol says that around 1:20 p.m. on April 20, they were called to U.S. Highway 50, west of Sierra at Tahoe Road on reports of a three vehicle, head-on, rollover crash.
