JobsNOW: Health care facility with 13 locations hiring

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – In-Demand Jobs Week continues and one Valley employer is using the time to attract talent.

Meridian Healthcare is celebrating 50 years of serving the Mahoning Valley. It has 13 locations, including six healthcare sites.

“With our focus being integrated care, as we’re expanding services and treating the person as a whole. It’s created a lot of different needs on the medical and clinical side,” said Mark Gallagher, executive director at Meridian Healthcare.

Meridian is a trusted source for primary care, mental health services, and even a comprehensive approach to addiction. It’s looking for staff who want to be part of a team, work together, truly care, and make a change in the community.

“We’re looking for front desk staff, janitorial staff, maintenance staff, patient care assistants (who are often entry-level staff) as well clear up to licensed therapists, clinical supervisors and directors. We have positions all across the board that are available,” Gallagher said.

Those positions are from the bottom and work up to important care positions in the company. Meridian has flexible scheduling, paid holidays, and other benefits. It strives to create an environment where employees can succeed.

Meridian is holding a virtual career fair on Wednesday, and one after-hours on Thursday.

“Coming to one of our career fairs, getting in the door kind of gives us a good relation, gets us a good connection with you and then we can help you further your career within Meridian as well. There’s plenty of room to grow and move up within Meridian,” Gallagher said.

Meridian Healthcare is holding a virtual career fair on Wednesday, May 8, from 4-6 p.m. You can schedule a virtual interview online.

Thursday, you can talk with someone about careers at the Meridian Road campus open house. That also runs from 4-6 p.m.
