The Lakeland, Florida-headquartered grocer is opening two new stores in the second half of November: one in Mableton, Georgia, and another in Florence, South Carolina. The upcoming locations follow three openings at the beginning of the month in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. Publix has roughly 1,440 supermarkets in the Southeast, with locations in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia as of June 27, 2026, according to the company's second-quarter financial results .
