Nassau County Police arrested Marius Adrian Dobre, age 27, and Paul Mihaita Tudor, age 30, on Thursday, May 2 following an investigation. Authorities said Tudor, who is from Ridgewood, Queens, and Dobre, who is a Romanian national, placed card-skimming devices on credit card terminals at grocery stores across Nassau County.

New York is eyeing a parcel of unused land off a Long Island airport as part of its first state-owned housing development. Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Friday that a 13-acre site at Republic Airport in East Farmingdale has been earmarked for a major redevelopment that will include affordable housing, open space and "other community amenities." Juvenile Arrested for Knifepoint Robbery of Student on Uniondale School Campus, Cops Say
The First Squad reports the arrest of a male Juvenile for a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Uniondale. According to Detectives, Officers responded to Turtle Hook Middle School located at 975 Jerusalem Avenue for a robbery that occurred on the soccer field. The defendant approached a 13-year-old male victim and displayed a knife placing him in fear for his safety. The defendant then forcibly removed the victim’s sweatshirt and fled the scene. A short time later, officers located the defendant and arrested him without incident.
