People Drive Out Of Their Way For The Fresh Meat At This Wisconsin Butcher Shop

A butcher shop that calls itself the maker of a famous five-foot summer sausage deserves your full attention. Five feet. That is taller than plenty of sixth graders. The sausage is only the opening act. This old-fashioned shop also stocks thirteen kinds of bacon and twelve flavors of snack sticks.

Steaming Trays of Crab Legs Keep Coming Out at This All-You-Can-Eat Wisconsin Seafood Buffet

Some of the best meals in Wisconsin hide inside buildings that look completely ordinary from the parking lot. This one used to be a Greek family restaurant, and nothing about the outside hints at the parade of crab legs waiting inside. Staff carry out fresh trays again and again, and...

The Goose Wars: A Historic Look at Horicon Marsh’s Migrating Geese

The autumn skies of Wisconsin come alive with the distinctive calls of migrating geese, a seasonal spectacle that naturalist Bill Volkert closely associates with his years at Horicon Marsh. This Wisconsin Bakery Has Sugar-Free Treats That Don’t Skimp On Flavor

Keto Boston Cream Cake. Keto Key Lime Bars. Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie Swirl Cheesecake. That lineup sounds like a cheat day, yet every item skips the sugar. The cheesecake bars alone get my attention. Creamy vanilla cheesecake sits on an almond flour crust with whipped cream on top. They’re low-carb, sugar-free, and gluten-free, which feels almost unfair.

People Travel Across Wisconsin For The Massive Subs At This Little Deli

A sandwich shop that sells subs up to 24 inches long also has a flexing red bull on the wall. That tells me quite a bit before anyone even orders. The size options say this kitchen likes a challenge.
