BOONVILLE — The Young at Heart Boonville Seniors met on May 8 at the Boonville Presbyterian Church. The meeting opened at 1 p.m. by President Barb Clair, who led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer. The secretary read the minutes from April 24, and the treasurer read the checkbook balance and changes since the last meeting. Both were accepted with motions made by Joann Green and Sheila Williams.

This week I am going off the beaten path and bringing you an interview with a Boonville author. This local author is Jonny Poet, a/k/a Phillip Youngs, of Boonville. He is a 1991 graduate of Adirondack Central School and he recently published a children’s book entitled “Waddling to the Pond.” It is illustrated by his mother, Linda Luchsinger, also of Boonville. The book is dedicated to all the children of the world.
