Metro-North train delayed because it hit a downed tree
(WFSB) - A Metro-North train struck a fallen tree in the Derby-Shelton area on Monday, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. As a result, the MTA said service from Bridgeport to Waterbury was delayed. There’s no word on what caused the tree to fall. No other details were released.

MERIDEN, Conn. — Three New Haven County men were taken into custody and face gun-related charges, according to a release from the Meriden Police Department.
