Hartsburg plane crash victim worked as private pilot, fleet manager
Wade Schley Bates, 58, died in a plane crash over Hartsburg on Tuesday while returning to Arkansas from Wisconsin. Bates was from West Fork, Arkansas, according to his obituary. He was working as a fleet service manager and private pilot for Thomson Enterprises. He was flying a single-engine Piper PA-46 at the time of the crash, according to previous Missourian reporting.
