The city of 3,299 people is located deep in the heart of northeast Texas, in Franklin and Wood counties. Winnsboro was originally named Wynnsborough, after John E. Wynn, an man who settled in the area from England.

In the above video Isaac discussed more of the history of Winnsboro from near the Winnsboro Historical Museum.

For this Small Town Live, one of the people Isaac spoke with was Winnsboro’s Main Street manager, Jaci Mauser. Jaci told Isaac all about the unique art and upcoming events that make the city’s Main Street so special.

Winnsboro veteran and business owner Jim McConnel told Isaac about his 2 Mac’s Ranch, which he and and his wife started to try and mimic the flow of nature to raise their animals in order to create a better product.

Isaac also got to talk with Mary White, the president of the Winnsboro Center for the Arts, a multi-disciplinary art center that was started in 2001 to address a lack of cultural opportunities for young people and elderly people in the area.
