WINFIELD, Kan. (KSNW) — The Winfield Fire & EMS Department, as well as the Winfield Police Department, are investigating what they are calling a “suspicious” cause of the fire.

According to WFED, they were dispatched at 4:13 a.m. to the report of a structure fire at 315 E. 5th Ave. Lot 15.

Upon arrival at the scene, crews found flames coming from the front of a single-wide mobile home.

Crews were able to check that no one was inside the mobile home and extinguished the fire. No one was found inside.
