Construction Zone Crash Near Jamestown
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NDHP) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-94 near milepost 261 near Jamestown on Friday, May 17th around 7pm. At the time of the crash the roadway was dry, and it was not raining. The area of the crash is in a construction zone. Eastbound traffic was diverted into the westbound lanes in a head-to-head configuration.

Anderson Returns As Jamestown Head Basketball Coach
JAMESTOWN – Luke Anderson hopes he can again revitalize Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Basketball. Anderson is the Blue Jays’ new head coach, as announced Friday. This will be Anderson’s second stint with JHS. The first was of three seasons from 2014-17. In the 2016-17 season, he led Jamestown to the state Class A tournament, the program’s first state appearance since 2003.
Jamestown Sixth In Last Regular Season Boys Golf Event
DICKINSON – In the closing event of the boys golf regular season, the Jamestown Blue Jays finished sixth Friday in the Dickinson Invitational at Heart River Golf Course. Jamestown shot 330, led by Hunter Gegelman, who tied for seventh individually with a 77. Luke LeFevre shot 82, Carmon Andersen had 85, Vaughn Romsdal and Jace Dillman both carded 86 and Kai Back shot 89.

Stilwell Takes Over JHS Boys Hockey
JAMESTOWN – It’s a big chance for a Jamestown alum. Former Blue Jay athlete Luke Stilwell has been named as the new Head Coach for Jamestown High School Boys Hockey. Stilwell, who was an assistant coach for the Jays this past season, is a 2013 JHS graduate and played collegiately at Concordia-Moorhead. Before returning to Jamestown, Stilwell was a coach at Williston High School and a teacher at Bakken Elementary School in Williston. He current is a sixth grade science teacher at Jamestown Middle School.

WILLISTON – Jamestown Blue Jay baseball took a step toward an automatic WDA tournament quarterfinal berth before Williston made the Jays take a step back. Jamestown and Williston split a doubleheader Thursday, with the Blue Jays winning game one 12-3 and the Coyotes taking the second game 10-0 in five innings at Ardean Affedt Stadium.

Constance “Connie” Dunn
Constance “Connie” Dunn, 27, of Jamestown, ND, passed away after a two year battle with cancer on Saturday morning, May 11, 2024 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo. Constance was born on July 28, 1996, in Willmar, MN, the daughter of Scott and Rebecca (Rhoda) Knutson. She grew up on the family farm near Belview, MN, was baptized and confirmed at Rock Dell Lutheran Church. Connie attended Echo Charter School, where she was active with the volleyball and basketball teams. Connie worked at Parkview Nursing Home while in high school and graduated from Echo Charter High School. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Clara City, MN. Connie moved to Jamestown in 2015 and married Joseph Dunn on August 12, 2017 in Jamestown. She loved working the night-shift at Eventide, Jamestown and also worked the pit gate at the Jamestown Speedway. Connie enjoyed fishing, crocheting, reading, traveling, and going to Minnesota Twins games with Joe.
