Hertford Council OKs budget with 4-cent tax rate hike
Hertford Town Council agreed Monday night to approve the town’s $7.6 million spending plan for 2024-25 that raises the town’s tax rate by 4 cents and both electric and sewer rates. Hoggard earns grant for Riverside Middle School
Samantha Hoggard, Riverside Middle School’s agriculture teacher, successfully completed the Tobacco Trust Fund Grant. Hoggard was awarded the grant for her school, which was made possible by the NC Agricultural Foundation, Inc. and Future Farmers of America (FFA). This grant will significantly impact the school, as it will be used to build a greenhouse on the Riverside Middle School Campus, enhancing our agricultural education program.
