Hoggard earns grant for Riverside Middle School
Samantha Hoggard, Riverside Middle School's agriculture teacher, successfully completed the Tobacco Trust Fund Grant. Hoggard was awarded the grant for her school, which was made possible by the NC Agricultural Foundation, Inc. and Future Farmers of America (FFA). This grant will significantly impact the school, as it will be used to build a greenhouse on the Riverside Middle School Campus, enhancing our agricultural education program. During the June 3 meeting of the Martin County Board of Education, Allison Jennings, the Northeast Region Agriculture Education Coordinator, presented the check for $12,295 to Hoggard, Board Chair Van Heath, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michelle White and students from Riverside Middle School.
