President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign has put out a call for an experienced “meme page” manager to join the effort to defeat former President Donald Trump in November.

The Biden-Harris campaign posted a job listing this month for a “partner manager” to “initiate and manage day-to-day operations in engaging the internet’s top content and meme pages” from the Biden campaign’s HQ in Wilmington, Delaware.

“The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about bringing political content to voters where they already are on the internet,” the job listing explained. “They have a deep interest in politics and thrive in a fast-paced environment.”

According to the listing, “key responsibilities” would include managing “relationships with top digital media companies, podcasters, and meme pages across a number of social media platforms,” and applicants are expected to have at least 2-4 years of experience in a related field, as well as “deep expertise of the digital media landscape” and the ability to identify “internet trends.”

Ironically, the position – which was listed on LinkedIn and Daybook, as well as Biden’s official campaign website – sparked the creation of a wave of memes from conservatives who accused the president of desperately trying to win over the youth vote.

Biden’s support among the youth has fallen since 2020, with many students expressing vocal opposition to Biden’s support for Israel against Gaza.

Last month, CNN senior writer Zachary Wolf warned that Biden’s “young voter problem” was becoming increasingly worse and posed a “major threat” to his chances of becoming reelected in November.

Other openings currently listed on Biden’s official website also indicate an effort to win over a larger chunk of the youth vote.

As of reporting, the Biden campaign is searching for a manager to work with “influencers that want to support the Democratic party in the 2024 presidential election at scale,” as well as a “youth spokesperson” to “provide internal guidance and updates to relevant senior staff.”
