A giant lizard usually found in Africa surprises Lake County resident in backyard
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — This is not what you expect to find when you venture into your backyard, at least not in Northeast Ohio. Willoughby police were called to a home Thursday when a resident was startled to find a giant reptile in the backyard. Police said in a post on social media it’s believed to be a Nile monitor. The Nile monitor usually is found in sub-Saharan Africa, not in Lake County.
Armed Lake County driver arrested after ramming woman’s car, deputies say
PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Lake County deputies say they arrested a 41-year-old man Tuesday after he allegedly threatened a woman.
