Williamsport, Pa. — The Way's Garden Art Show is returning to Williamsport on June 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. to spotlight the talent of local artists.

In addition to visual arts, the Repasz Band and the David Pulizzi Duo will play music throughout the event.

This year's art show features a special dedication to Frances Tipton Hunter , an illustrator whose Rockwell-esque drawings were featured on numerous magazines, catalogues, and other publications from the 1920s-1950s. She was born in Howard, Centre County, and moved to Williamsport at a young age before her art career took off in New York City.

Attendees can immerse themselves in creativity while enjoying refreshments and engaging with fellow art enthusiasts.

The highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Eve Archer People's Choice Award, celebrating outstanding artwork based on visitors' votes. This award not only honors artistic talent, but also reflects the community's appreciation for local artistry.

At the same time as the art festival, Trinity Church is hosting its annual Strawberry Festival across 4th Street. The festival will feature treats and family festivities.

"We are thrilled to bring back the Way's Garden Art Show, celebrating our local artists and paying tribute to the incredible legacy of Frances Tipton Hunter," said Kelly Spitler, President of the Bald Eagle Art League. "This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the artistic richness of our community and foster connections between artists and art enthusiasts.”

The Way's Garden Art Show is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to join in celebrating local art and community spirit. Way's Garden is located at W. 4th & Maynard Streets, Williamsport.
