Matewan to host 23rd Annual Heritage Day
Matewan is getting ready to kick off its 23rd annual Heritage Day festivities on May 18. Yearly fishing tournament scheduled for next week
The FourthAnnual Bob Wellman Memorial Fishing Tournament is scheduled for next week, May 18, at Laurel Lake, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers said the event is free and will include prizes for the biggest fish caught in the adult and children (under 18) division. Also, on the morning of the event, the Lake will be stocked with 400 pounds of trout.
