WILLIAMSON — A Williamson man lead police on a high-speed chase down US-119. According to a criminal complaint, Byron Young, 39 was driving KIA Optima when he was pulled over as part of an ongoing drug investigation. During the traffic stop, Trooper Ziegler of the West Virginia State Police could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the compartment area of the vehicle.

Pike man accused of stealing two cars from UPike students
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man has been arrested after police say he stole two cars from students at the University of Pikeville. Pikeville Police were originally called to the second theft just after midnight on Monday, when they received a report that a car had been taken from the top floor of the Hambley Boulevard parking garage. While investigating that case, police learned that UPike Public Safety had received several reports of cars being broken into over the weekend, as well as another case of a car being stolen, only to be returned to the same parking lot a short time later.
