Trump To Hit The Campaign Trail At The Jersey Shore

JERSEY SHORE – The campaign trail of former President Donald Trump is bringing him to the shore area on May 11.

The 45th president will be making a campaign appearance at 5 p.m. that day but admission will begin at noon at 3601 Boardwalk in Wildwood Beach. Trump’s election campaign released details of the beach rally including how to apply for tickets.

In a statement from his campaign, the 5 p.m. rally will be based off the 3600 block of the city’s boardwalk, near Schellenger Avenue.

Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano, Jr. and Cape May Board of Commissioners Steve Mikulski and Krista McConnell issued a joint statement concerning the event-filled weekend. “What a great boost to our town at the start of the summer season!”

“We host hundreds of large capacity events annually, so the City is ready to welcome the crowds and looks forward to making the weekend successful for everyone,” the officials stated.

“We are excited to see that these festivities not only offer a vibrant experience for our community, but also provide invaluable support to our local businesses. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact these special events will bring to our region,” Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tracey Boyle-DuFault said.

Ocean County is perhaps the strongest Republican stronghold in the Democratic-dominated Garden State. Among the active GOP municipal organizations is the Jackson Township GOP whose president, Mordechai Burnstein told Micromedia Publications/Jersey Shore Online.com, “I can already confirm that (Township) Mayor (Michael) Reina, Council President (Jennifer) Kuhn and members of our executive board will be attending.”

Burnstein added, “the Jackson Republican Club is proud to support President Trump and to stand with him and our country. We need a President who will support America no matter what and no matter where.”

“The world is in crisis since President Trump left office and we can’t afford four more years of President Biden and his failed policies. I urge all Jackson Republicans to go and support President Trump at this rally,” Burnstein said.

Mayor Reina recalled that he was one of only a select few mayors that had an invite to a mayors’ conference hosted by President Trump when he was in office. “I am scheduled to go on the 11th and as you can imagine I’m looking forward to the event.”

The mayor said “I’m hearing that it will be bigger than the first one that was held in Wildwood years ago. We are in troubling times with open borders, out of control food and utility costs, foreign entities involved in civil unrest and lawlessness with little punishment handed out – just to identify a few major problems that we are facing as a nation.”

Micromedia Publications/Jersey Shore Online.com also reached out to the Ocean County Republican organization whose current chairman, George Gilmore, supported Trump’s prior election campaign, for a comment but had not heard back at press time.
