Second annual Jack Rome Memorial Walk & Run in Wilbraham

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – The second annual Jack Rome Memorial Walk & Run takes place Sunday morning at Fountain Park in Wilbraham.

This event honors local canine celebrity, Jack Rome, who passed away in October 2022. Jack was the official greeter of the Gary Rome Auto Group.

Refreshments will be served after the race, and goodie bags will be provided for all of those who participate. There will also be music, activities for kids, vendors, raffles, food trucks, and more. Dogs are welcome, and awards will be given to the top-behaved boy and girl dogs. Well-behaved dogs who attend should be on a leash at all times, and no flexi-leads are allowed.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the event kicks off at 10:00 a.m. If you haven’t registered, you can sign up Sunday morning. All donations and benefits from the 5K will be donated to the Thomas J. O’Conner Animal Center . Last year they raised over $38,000 at the event.
