    2 former USPS workers indicted for stealing mail, Kansas district attorney says

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A federal grand jury in Wichita indicted two former United States Postal Service workers in separate cases for stealing mail, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

    Court documents state 36-year-old Alexa Garner-Cavender from Wichita is charged with four counts of theft by mail by a postal employee.

    She is accused of stealing checks from the mail on multiple occasions in 2023, totaling approximately $4,800.

    In another case, court documents state that 30-year-old Dylan Ellis from Andale is charged with one count of delay or destruction of mail by a postal employee.

    Between January and February 2024, he is accused of stealing cash from the mail.
