It has been an active time for thunderstorms in the area, and that continues into the weekend. After a few weaker and fast moving showers and storms Wednesday, KSN Meteorologist Ronelle Williams tells KNSS News a front that recently entered the area has not moved much and will keep skies unsettled today.

Due to the front, timing for development of strong to severe storms looks similar to yesterday, after 3pm or 4pm. All forms of severe weather are on the table again so a couple of tornadoes will be possible.

Shower and storm chances gradually rise again through Friday. Strong to severe storms will be possible late in the day between Southwest and Central Kansas Thursday. Another area of storms will be moving in from the northwest. This will all make a sweep through the area Friday night into Saturday morning.

After early storms move out Saturday the next round holds off until Saturday night and Sunday when some moisture moves in from the south. The weekend is not looking like a complete washout but the threat of stronger storms will need to be monitored until get a break on Tuesday.
