Closure on east 37th Street N in Wichita

A milling, patching, and asphalt overlay project begins in north Wichita on Monday, April 22nd. According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, on Tuesday KDOT will close eastbound and westbound 37th Street from Hydraulic Street to Ohio. Rehabilitation work will occur Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is estimated reconstruction will conclude and this section of roadway will be reopened in late May, conditions permitting.

KDOT says eastbound motorists should follow the signed detour south on Ohio Street to E 29th Street N, then east on 29th Street and follow the curve north on N Hydraulic Street to 37th Street. Westbound motorists can follow the same detour in the opposite direction.
