    WFISD to sell large tract of land

    The Wichita Falls Independent School District is accepting bids for the purchase of unimprovedproperty at 4700 Gregg Road in Wichita Falls, according to a media release.

    It consists of 43 acres and is valued by the Wichita Appraisal District at $538,250. It was previously owned by United Supermarkets and went to the school district in 2014. It is located west of Memorial Stadium.

    “The sale of this property represents a significant opportunity for the WFISD to support itseducational mission by leveraging underutilized assets,” Dr. Donny Lee, superintendent, said in the release.

    The news release from the district said prospective bidders should contact Bishop Realtor Group at 940-249-2861 or 940.631.4290, or email purchasing@wfisd.net.

    Interested parties must register as a vendor at wfisd.ionwave.net/VendorRegistration/PreliminaryInfo.aspx. Registered Vendors must view and submit their bid response at https://wfisd.ionwave.net/CurrentSourcingEvents.aspx.

    All bids must be accompanied by a $1,000 deposit prior the the deadline of 2 p.m. June 5 to WFISD administration at 1104 Broad St., 76301. Bid opening will be on the same date.
