Car crash into home, tree sends one to hospital: WFPD

WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Wichita Falls Police responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into a Kell East home.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, WFPD officers responded to reports of a car that crashed into the side of a house on Kell East, near Austin Street.

According to police, the driver was westbound on Kell and appeared to be distracted.

The driver reportedly swerved and overcorrected, striking a nearby home and tree, police said.

The driver was transported to the hospital by AMR for minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported, and the driver was the only individual in the car at the time of the crash, police stated.
