WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — After a long trend of severe weather and heavy rainfall across Texoma, things are looking up, although there is still one more day of potential severe weather.

Monday has widespread risks for severe weather in Texoma, with the greatest threats being in extreme northern counties.

However, that doesn’t rule out anyone else in the area for severe storms. A trough of low pressure combined with low-level moisture will serve as the trigger for these storms.

In the meantime, conditions will remain calm for Sunday night with mostly cloudy conditions and a low of 64 degrees in Wichita Falls with tomorrow’s high at 85 degrees.

As we progress through the week, highs will start to climb into the mid-80s to low 90s.

Starting Tuesday, sunshine will become the general rule, giving us a break from the rain and allowing the area to dry up a bit.

The next chance for rain after Monday is possible as we head into the weekend. A cold front is expected to push through on Wednesday, dropping high temperatures back down into the mid-70s.
