Owner locks alleged teen thieves inside store, waits for cops
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Two teens are in custody after attempting to steal from a Tyler business Thursday afternoon, police say. The original robbery call came in from the Subway on West Gentry around 4:30 p.m., a Tyler officer said, but the attempted theft took place at Prado’s Repair, a nearby cellphone repair store.
Former Tyler apartment leasing agent gets probation for stealing over $5,000 from tenants in scheme
A former East Texas apartment leasing agent who took over $5,000 from residents through a scheme last summer was sentenced to probation. Sedona Francis, 24, of Richardson, pleaded guilty to property theft between $2,500 and $30,000 on March 19 in Smith County's 475th District Court. She then received five years' probation. If she violates her probation, she could face two years in a state jail facility, according to judicial records.
