Allentown Police make arrest in armed robbery
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Police in Allentown are releasing information about an armed robbery in the city. A press release from Allentown Police says on Friday just before 6 p.m., officers were called to The Corner Mart located in the 2400 block of Emmaus Ave. for a report of an armed robbery.
Elderly woman robbed by trio while using ATM in Bethlehem, cops say
An elderly woman was robbed of $720 and her debit card was stolen as she used an ATM machine outside of a northeast Bethlehem bank, city police said. Police say two men and a woman are responsible in the robbery: 23-year-old Marco Salazar; 40-year-old Roberto C. Uturunco-Rueda; and 36-year-old Keyly Carolina Joya-Quiroz.
Maxatawny Twp. crash kills Topton man
MAXATAWNY TWP., Pa. - The Berks County Coroner's office pronounced a 67-year-old man dead at the scene of a two car accident that occurred late Saturday night. Pennsylvania State Police called to the scene at 11:44 p.m. Saturday say Jerry Gambler of Topton died after his vehicle failed to clear a stop sign at the intersection of Topton Road and Route 222 Northbound. Gambler's vehicle struck another vehicle which was driving on Route 222.
Man charged in 2016 slayings makes court appearance
Williamsport, Pa. — Dawud Muneer Rogers appeared at the Lycoming County Courthouse in Williamsport for a long-awaited preliminary hearing. Friday marked the 42-year-old Allentown man’s first appearance since being charged last year with the 2016 slaying of William Michael Blackwell in Williamsport. MONROE CO., Pa. - Stroudsburg Area School District's athletic director Sean Richmond has died following a Saturday night crash along Interstate 380 in Tobyhanna Township. According to the Monroe County coroner, 38-year-old Sean Richmond, of Stroudsburg was identified as the victim in the fatal wreck. State Police said they received numerous calls for a person being hit by a tractor trailer.
Upper Macungie Police investigating smashed windshield, package theft
U. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. — Upper Macungie Township Police are investigating a vandalism incident that they say occurred sometime Wednesday night into Thursday morning. According to police, an unknown suspect damaged a vehicle's windshield with a rock. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Brandywine Circle, police said.
