North Muskegon voters reject $5.6M school bond proposal
NORTH MUSKEGON, MI — Voters in the North Muskegon School District rejected a 25-year, $5.6 million bond proposal in the Tuesday, May 7 special election. The bond would have funded improvements to the district’s outdoor athletic facilities. The district asked residents to increase the millage rate by 1 mill. For a homeowner with a property valued at $200,000, that would have meant an additional $100 per year in taxes, according to the district’s website.
