MUSKEGON, Mich. — After a two-month delay, the new ALDI store in Muskegon is set to open on Thursday, May 9. The new store is on E Apple Avenue, in the same location as the former Plumb's store, which closed in 2017. ALDI officials say there will be fresh produce delivered daily and a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

MUSKEGON, MI – The city of Muskegon has received a $380,000 federal grant to help keep outdoor events safe, just in time for the summer festival season. The funding, secured for Muskegon by U.S. Rep. Hillary Scholten, will be used to purchase a vehicle barrier system that public safety officials will use to prevent cars from driving through crowds of people during festivals, parades, outdoor parties and other events.

FERRYSBURG — Three people sustained “minor injuries” after crashing into a tree Wednesday morning in Ferrysburg, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. A 29-year-old male, 36-year-old female and 43-year-old male, all from Rothbury, were in a 2010 Chevy Silverado heading northbound on U.S. 31 when their vehicle “ran off the road,” police said.
