MANISTEE COUNTY, MI - A driver was arrested Friday, May 3 after being tracked for miles through swamp and thick forest in Northern Michigan. A Michigan man accused of creating online ads selling sex with a minor and setting up “dates” for her plead guilty to human trafficking. James Madison-Cranford, 30 of Warren, pled to nine counts Friday, May 3 in the 6th Circuit Court including human trafficking a minor for commercial sexual activity, accepting earnings from prostitution and three counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct, according to a news release from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Ferris State University professor who died unexpectedly to be honored with emeriti status
BIG RAPIDS, MI – Ferris State University is honoring the life and legacy of a longtime professor who died unexpectedly last weekend. Paul Klatt, who taught at Ferris State for nearly 20 years, died at age 58 on Saturday, April 27, according to his obituary.
