PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has issued this statement on the on-going search for Rachel Cyriacks:. “In the past several weeks, the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and other law enforcement agencies have received new tips and information from the public about Rachel, who was last known to be traveling Nov. 13, 2013 to Huron from Woonsocket. DCI agents are interviewing additional witnesses for the first time who may have information about Rachel’s disappearance as well as doing follow-up interviews with potential witnesses who had been interviewed in the past.

Fatal Collision on 397th Avenue Underlines Importance of Seatbelt Use for Davison County Residents
A serious accident involving two vehicles occurred in Davison County, South Dakota, on Wednesday morning. The drivers were a 63-year-old man in a 2014 Caterpillar Highway Maintainer and a 24-year-old man in a 2011 Chrysler 200. The younger driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. The older driver was unharmed. He reportedly veered into the ditch before swerving and crossing into the Chrysler's path.
Man from Mitchell killed, passenger seriously injured in Saturday afternoon accident in Davison County
A 63-year-old Mitchell, SD man has been identified as the person who died Saturday morning in a two vehicle crash one mile south of Mitchell, SD on Highway 37. Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Harlan Dale Miller, 63, of Mitchell, SD, was stopped or nearly stopped in the southbound lane on SD Highway 37 near milepost 71. A white 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Todd Michael Hohn, 57, of Mitchell, SD, was southbound at the same location. The two vehicles collided in the southbound lane, with the Ford Fusion coming to a rest in the west ditch and the Chevrolet Silverado coming to rest in the east ditch.

Area Volunteer Fire Departments Among Recipients of State Grant Funding for PPE
Alpena, Buffalo Rural and Wessington Springs were among the South Dakota volunteer fire departments from across the state that have been awarded grants totaling $5 million in funding for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Earlier this year, the South Dakota Legislature passed and Governor Noem signed HB1127 appropriating state general funds to the Department of Public Safety creating the grant program to support local volunteer fire departments.
How Cyriacks investigation has unfolded since 2013
HURON, S.D. (KELO) — The week’s search northeast of Huron has put the spotlight back on Rachel Cyriacks; the Woonsocket woman disappeared 10 years ago this month. Cyriacks’s family reported her missing in December 2013. That same month, Sanborn County law enforcement spoke with Cyriacks’s husband Brad, who was the last person to see her. He and Rachel were going through a divorce, and she had sought and received a protection order against him. Rachel said Brad physically abused her. He spent time in jail for violating that protection order.
