WESTMONT (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A suspect is being held behind bars for a home invasion this week in the western suburbs.

Bryce Fleming, 23, was ordered held in the DuPage County Jail until his trial on residential burglary and car theft charges.

According to prosecutors, he  broke into a home on West Naperville Road near Cass Avenue late Monday night. He allegedly broke through a window in a back door, ransacked the homeowner’s purse and took her car keys, credit and debit cards  and garage door opener from a bowl in the living room.

Officials said the woman heard noises and, when she went to investigate, her back door was open and her car and credit and debit cards were gone.

Hinsdale Police spotted the stolen car and pulled over Fleming a short time later.
