Presque Isle Looks At Flag Ordinance After Turning Down Pride Flag Request
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - The City of Presque Isle says they will not be raising any flags other than the American and State of Maine flag until an ordinance regarding flag raisings is put in place. Previously, the city raised a Pride flag in June of 2023 and has also flown the Rotary flag in front of city hall.

After an okay weekend with some sunshine, along with cloud cover during the afternoon hours, more cloud cover is lingering across the region this morning. This is resulting in a gloomy start to the day, with more sunshine eventually expected in the forecast as high pressure builds over the northeast today. A few fair weather clouds will return once again during the afternoon hours, leaving us with a gloomier end to the day. Clouds and shower chances return late tonight, with on and off showers in the forecast going into tomorrow.
Missing 89-year-old woman from Caribou safely located
CARIBOU, Maine — A woman from Caribou has been safely located after police issued a Silver Alert on Wednesday. The Caribou Police Department issued a Silver Alert for the 89-year-old woman who left her home on Limestone Street around noon on Wednesday, according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.
