    Combined two-hitter keeps Nebraska alive in Big Ten Baseball Tournament over Purdue

    OMAHA, N.E. – Brett Sears and Drew Christo combined to toss a two-hitter, as the duo retired 19 of the last 20 Boilermakers in No. 2 seed Nebraska’s 6-2 win over No. 6 seed Purdue in the Big Ten Baseball Tournament elimination game.

    Nebraska (35-20) scored six runs on 12 hits and an error, while Purdue (33-24) totaled two runs on two hits to end the Boilermakers’ season on a seven-game losing skid.

    Nebraska advances to play the loser of Indiana vs. Ohio State on Friday, May 24 at 2:00pm CT at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
