Woman seriously injured in Columbia County crash
Orangeville, Pa. — A 23-year-old woman is in critical condition after a crash along State Route 487 Saturday afternoon. Destiny M. Gearh of Benton was driving a 2003 Acura south on SR 487 near Fishing Creek Campground when she lost control of the car on a curve, according to Trp. Brandon Welch of state police at Bloomsburg. Gearh's vehicle slid into the oncoming lane and into the path of 2020 Ford F250 driven by 64-year-old Donna Richard of Newton, NJ just after 3:30 p.m. Geahr was seriously injured and unresponsive after the collision. She was taken by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, officials say. Richard and her passenger, 66-year-old John Richard, of Butler, NJ, were not injured, Welch said.
Autopsy report on missing woman found dead in Luzerne County
The death of a woman whose body was found in a wooded area of Luzerne County in March remains a mystery. After an autopsy, the Luzerne County coroner says the cause and manner of death of Debra Fox are undetermined. Fox's remains were found on March 26 in an area off the Exit 1 ramp of the North Cross Valley Expressway in Wilkes-Barre near the I-81 interchange. Wilkes-Barre police say the investigation into Fox's death remains open.
