POTTSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Family members and friends are fighting for justice in Schuylkill County after two teens were murdered in New Philadelphia more than six months ago.

“We actually took a break because of the weather,” said Tanya Evans the mother of Angelito Caraballo.

The families of Hunter Mock and Angelito Caraballo are not happy with how the investigations are progressing. On Friday, they returned to the Schuylkill County Courthouse to let their voices be heard once again.

“I’ve been waiting for DNA test results for over two months. that’s what I was told that was needed and I just feel like the process isn’t being done,” says Kate Mock the mother of Hunter Mock.

Teen charged with attempted homicide in Edwardsville shooting

The bodies of Hunter Mock and Angelito Caravallo were found in a wooded area last October in New Philadelphia State Police working the case have labeled this a double homicide, but no charges have been brought against anyone yet.

“Hunter was shot in the head and Angelito died from laceration and puncture wounds,” continued Evans.

The protesters held signs asking others who passed by to join them in the search for justice

Not only did the warmer weather bring these families out to keep awareness up. It also reminded one mother of her son.

“My son’s favorite time of year is about now, fishing and hunting, he always had all his friends out in the woods, loving nature,” stated Mock.

The group said they will protest at least once a month in front of the Schuylkill County courthouse until they feel justice has been served.

“Obviously, we have not gotten answers or justice. until we get that, nobody’s going to sit down and be quiet anymore,” added Mock.
