Vt. trooper receiving TBI rehab following I-89 crash
MONTEPLIER, Vt. (WCAX) - A Vermont State Trooper injured in an I-89 crash in March is being treated for severe traumatic brain injury. Corporal Eric Vitali, a 19-year VSP veteran, was on his way to a first-aid training in Waterbury the morning of March 8 when he crashed into the back of a Bethel Volunteer Fire Department tanker truck that was responding to another crash just north of the Bethel exit.
Police, school officials investigate U-32 lockdown response
EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Authorities and school officials are trying to figure out what prompted a lockdown at U-32 High School late Thursday morning. The Washington Central Unified Union School District Superintendent says the automated emergency response system placed the school into lockdown just after 11:30 a.m. It’s not believed to have been initiated from inside the building and police responded to find no threat to the school.

Vermont state police seek information on truck linked to Sheldon incident
SHELDON — Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a truck involved in a suspicious incident on Kittell Road on May 15. At around 2:20 p.m., authorities were notified of the situation and are now requesting anyone with information about the truck or who may have witnessed it in the area around 2:50 p.m. to come forward.
