Two Maine hospitals now under one license
Two hospitals in Maine are joining forces in a bid to help share resources. Maine Medical Center and Southern Maine Health Care are now under one license. The change, which came into effect at the beginning of the month, will see its three campuses now be known as MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, Biddeford, and Sanford.

York parks, Mount Agamenticus lay down the law: $300 fines for rule breakers
YORK, Maine — New rules for Mount Agamenticus and two other parks are now in effect, with offenders at risk of a $300 fine. Not every Selectboard member agreed with the fines, which rise to $350 for a second offense and $400 for third and subsequent violations. Still, the board voted 5-0 on May 6 to adopt the regulations, which were crafted last winter by the Parks and Recreation Board.
