Over 300 attend Hillbilly Breakfast
INEZ — Over 300 people came out to enjoy the Kiwanis Club’s annual Hillbilly Breakfast, according to Kiwanis president Melissa Phelps. The May 4 event at Inez Elementary School offered an all-you-can-eat buffet of gravy, biscuits, eggs, sausage, bologna, fried potatoes, fried apples, chocolate gravy and assorted drinks for $6.

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service. 911 dispatchers tell Newschannel 3 that the area around Cabwaylingo State Park has high water. Given the weather conditions that fostered this torrent will be around thru Wednesday, the risk of new high water in select spots is a strong possibility.
