State suspends license of Maple Leaf Childcare in Malta
The state suspended the license of the Maple Leaf Childcare Center in Malta effective on Wednesday. The Office of Child and Family Services website has stated violations on May 9 that include corporal punishment, failure to report abuse or maltreatment of children and failure to notify parents of a serious incident. There is also a May 7 violation about toilet training that states “methods of discipline, interaction or toilet training which frighten, demean or humiliate a child are prohibited.”
