19-year-old arrested for possession of stolen and illegal firearms in Waterbury

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — An arrest was made in Waterbury on Wednesday afternoon after police found multiple firearms in a parked vehicle.

Construction worker fatally hit in Hartford

Police were proactively patrolling the area of 119 Madison St. when they conducted a motor vehicle stop. They located two loaded 9MM firearms in the car, one of which is an illegal firearm, and one which was later discovered as stolen. 19-year-old Willie Redd was charged with seven offenses, including criminal possession, weapons in a motor vehicle and theft of a firearm.

Redd was held on a $750,000 bond pending court arraignment on Wednesday.
