Find out which Shreveport-area football teams should win Week 4 games
Here's a look at some of the action set to take place involving teams in the Shreveport-Bossier City area on the fourth weekend of the 2026 Louisiana High School Athletic Association high school football season. Also included is our forecast of which 10 teams are likely to triumph in several battles expected to be highly contested. All games at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Friday, Sept. 25 Pleasant Grove, Texas (4-0) at Byrd (0-3) Note: The Jackets are going to come up with the winning margin at some point this season, but it won’t be in Week 4 with the undefeated Hawks coming to town. Watson’s prediction: Pleasant Grove 42, Byrd 18 Captain Shreve (2-1) at Haughton (3-0) Note: The Buccaneers have been hitting on all cylinders in 2026, but the schedule gets a bit tougher this week with the Gators and Gabe Lockett visiting. Should be a shootout with turnovers making a difference. Watson’s prediction: Captain Shreve 38, Haughton 34 Benton (2-1) at Evangel (1-2) Note: The Eagles surprised a lot of people with a domination of Huntington last week. Benton will provide a stiffer test, but few district teams roll into Rodney Duron Field and come out winners.
