Mooringsport man killed in Shreveport motorcycle crash
CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Mooringsport man has been killed in a motorcycle collision in Shreveport. Jason Miles, 39, was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle that was turning into the Cracker Barrel parking lot on Westport Avenue. Caddo Coroner Names West Shreveport Motorcycle Crash Victim
A Caddo Parish motorcyclist killed in a west Shreveport collision with a motor vehicle late Monday, June 5, 2023, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office. Jason Miles, 39, of Mooringsport, was killed when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle turning into the parking lot of the Cracker Barrel in the 6200 block of Westport Avenue just before 5:15 p.m.

West Orange-Stark graduate Tyrone Wilson has signed to play baseball at Wiley College. Wilson has also received a scholarship. What was revealed during the stop was anything but a 'routine traffic stop' because if it were routine, officers wouldn't have discovered 43 kilograms of cocaine stashed away in the semi.
Two Suspects on the Loose After Injuring Greenwood Police Officer
Early Sunday (6/4/23) evening, Sgt. Shaul with the Greenwood Police Department conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 79. The driver identified himself with a driver's license as Preston Burns. Burns was taken into custody after several warrants were found for his arrest. Sgt. Shaul was standing at the rear of his patrol car talking with Burns and a passenger about what was going to happen.

The driver of a 2010 Ford Expedition, identified as Patricia McBride, 67, of Marshall, was driving west on I-20 when somehow, she drove off the road and hit a tree.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Greenwood Police Department is searching for a suspect that reportedly fled during a traffic stop Sunday evening. Officials say Sgt. Shaul stopped a blue Volvo on U.S. Hwy 79, and the driver identified himself with a driver’s license as Preston Burns. The officer round several warrants for Burns’ arrest and took him into custody.

Convicted felon arrested after pursuit
A 41-year-old California man with an extensive criminal history was arrested Tuesday after leading Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a chase in a stolen truck. According to a DPS arrest affidavit, two troopers spotted a Ford F350 with fictitious tags on Interstate Highway 20 near FM 1936. When they tried to pull the driver over, he refused and the troopers saw him throw a .45 caliber Glock out of the passenger-side window 10 miles into the pursuit. He pulled over about a mile later.

YMCA begins new campaign to fund youth baseball, softball complex
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A new campaign has begun for the funding of a new, tournament-grade youth baseball and softball complex in Caddo Parish. The YMCA of Northwest Louisiana is determined to raise $7 million for the project that many private and corporate donors have already thrown their chips into; the City of Shreveport has already coughed up $1.5 million, and the Caddo Parish Commission has added an additional $2 million.
