2 King George natives killed in Colonial Beach plane crash Wednesday
Two King George natives were killed this morning in a plane crash in Colonial Beach, a beach town in Westmoreland County, VA. Just before 10:30 a.m. Virginia State Police responded to a call in the area of Layton Landing Rd. in Colonial Beach.

2 'unexpected' deaths in Northumberland Sheriff's Office in May
Two members of Northumberland County’s police force were killed in late May, and it’s suspected that they both took their own lives. The most recent death was that of Taylor Hayden who just turned 20 years old in April. He was a communications officer for the Sheriff’s Office and had been on the job for less than two months. Hayden also served the Northumberland community as a volunteer for Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department located in Reedville.

For more than a decade, Capt. Chris Parker has been helping recreational boaters on the Chesapeake Bay get home, first as a hired captain and later a port manager of several TowBoatUS on-water towing ports in the Tidewater region. Wanting his own TowBoatUS on-water towing and assistance company, he journeyed east across the bay in 2019 to open TowBoatUS Crisfeld in Maryland. Now on the bay’s western shore, the captain is new owner of TowBoatUS Reedville, Virginia, essentially bookending both shores with his company’s TowBoatUS coverage.

Army National Guard Drone Crashes In St. Mary’s County
UPDATE – A Maryland Army National Guard unmanned aircraft system lost contact with the unit causing the chute to automatically deploy before coming down in a wooded area just outside Patuxent River Naval Air Station restricted airspace at about 12:45 p.m. today. One Dead after Gunshots Ring Out on Eastern Avenue
BALTIMORE, MD – Officers on patrol in the area of the 5900 block of Eastern Avenue heard gunshots Saturday afternoon, at approximately 4:24 p.m. An unidentified male was found with several life-threatening gunshot wounds.
