    Sunday, April 28Warsaw VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Interstate 40 at the 369 mile marker eastbound exit ramp for a MVC, single vehicle in the woods, possibly overturned. Warsaw Engine 3 arrived and found the patient out of the vehicle in care of EMS. Once released by NCSHP all Warsaw units cleared the call.

    Mount Olive VFD, Calypso VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Beautancus Road for a MVC, vehicle versus tree, vehicle on fire. Calypso Car 1 on scene with a working vehicle fire, all occupants out of the vehicle. Units arrived started extinguishment of the fire, and checked on patients and injuries. The fire was quickly controlled, all Calypso units were released. EMS took care of the injuries, once released by NCSHP all Mount Olive units cleared the call.

    Kenansville VFD responded to John B Hall Street to assist EMS with forcing entry into an apartment. Once entry was gained, EMS was able to render patient care. All Kenansville units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD, Rose Hill VFD, North Carolina Forestry Service, and Duplin County EMS responded to Bonham Road for a woods fire. Units arrived and started extinguishment of the fire. Once the fire was extinguished all units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to West N.C. 403 at Brewer Road for a MVC, two vehicles unknown injuries. Faison units arrived and found one vehicle in Duplin County and one vehicle in Sampson County, units assisted EMS with patient care and controlled traffic. Once released by NCSHP all Faison units cleared the call.

    Greenevers VFD, Rose Hill VFD, Teachey VFD, Wallace VFD, North East VFD, and Duplin County EMS responded to Clinic Circle Drive for a residential structure fire. Greenevers units arrived and was advised of a possible life hazard; crews made entry into the residence and completed a primary search, as another crew started fire attack. An elderly male was found unresponsive and was removed to EMS care. All life-saving measures were attempted, but were unsuccessful. The Duplin County Fire Marshal Office, Duplin County Sheriff Office, North County Office State Fire Marshal, Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation were called to assist with the cause, origin and death investigation. Once the fire was extinguished all automatic aid cleared the call. Once the investigation was complete, all Greenevers units cleared the call.

    Monday, April 28Warsaw VFD responded to U.S. 117 for a woods fire. Warsaw units arrived and started extinguishment of the fire; once all fire was extinguished all Warsaw units cleared the call.

    Teachey VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call, patient wishing to be checked out, not requesting EMS. Teachey MR 16 arrived and checked the patient out, once the patient was assisted all Teachey units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD, Chinquapin VFR, North Carolina Forestry Service, Chinquapin EMS, and Duplin County EMS responded to Cornmill Road for a brush fire endangering a structure. Beulaville Engine 1 and Brush, along with Chinquapin Engine 2 and Brush arrived and quickly controlled the fire. Once all fire was out all units cleared the call.

    Tuesday, April 30Warsaw VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Interstate 40 at the 368 mile marker eastbound for a MVC, single vehicle in the trees. Warsaw Engine 3 arrived and found all patients out of the vehicle and in care of EMS. Once released by NCSHP all units cleared the call.

    Chinquapin VFR responded to S. NC 50 Highway at Chinquapin Elementary School for a commercial fire alarm activation. Chinquapin Car 1 arrived and advised false alarm, all Chinquapin units can cancel, all Chinquapin units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR responded to Sampson County at the intersection of Faison Highway (West N.C. 403) at Spencer Road for a MVC, tractor trailer overturned. Faison Engine 2, Rescue 51, Tanker 5, MR 5, and Unit 5 arrived and found a tractor trailer overturned on its side with Faison Highway partially blocked. Crews set up traffic control and started fluid leak control. Once released by NCSHP all Faison units cleared the call.

    Wallace VFD responded to E. Clement Street at Clement Park to set up a landing zone for an air medical helicopter per Duplin County EMS. The helicopter safely landed the patient was transferred and the helicopter safely departed. All Wallace units cleared the call.

    Oak Wolfe VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Oak Wolfe MR 1 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 4 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Oak Wolfe units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Bob Kennedy Road at Haystack Branch Lane for a MVC, motorcycle involved unknown injuries. Beulaville units arrived and found the patient in care of EMS, the motorcycle was off the roadway. All Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Sarecta VFD responded to North N.C. 11 and N.C. 903 at Guilford Mills for a commercial fire alarm activation. Sarecta Car 1 advised to have units standby at the station till he can advise further. Sarecta Car 1 advise he had spoken with maintenance and it was a false alarm activation, all Sarecta units canceled.

    North East VFD responded to South N.C. 41 at North East Fire Station to set up a landing zone for an air medical helicopter per Duplin County EMS. Shortly after dispatch EMS canceled the helicopter and all North East units cleared the call.

    North East VFD, Duplin County EMS and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to South N.C. 41 at William D Cavenaugh Lane for a MVC, single vehicle in the ditch, unknown injuries. North East Engine 1, Engine 3 and Equipment 1 arrived and controlled traffic. Once released by NCSHP, all North East units cleared the call.

    Wednesday, May 1Beulaville VFD, Sarecta VFD, and Duplin County EMS responded to a brush fire. Beulaville Car 1 arrived and found a small fire in the ditch, Sarecta units were cancelled and Beulaville Brush handled the call. Once the fire was extinguished all Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR responded to SW Center Street at Goshen Medical Center for a commercial fire alarm activation. Faison Engine 2 arrived to nothing showing out investigating, Faison Engine 1 stood by at the hydrant, while Rescue 51 provided manpower. It was found to be a false alarm, the alarm was reset and all Faison units cleared the call.

    Teachey VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with EMS. Teachey MR 16 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 2 arrived patient care was transferred. Once patient was loaded and transported all Teachey units cleared the call.

    Oak Wolfe VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Tram Road at Jim Best Road for a MVC, two vehicles unknown injuries. Oak Wolfe units arrived and controlled traffic and assisted EMS with patient care. Once released by NCSHP all Oak Wolfe units cleared the call.

    Oak Wolfe VFD, Pleasant Grove VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Tram Road for a MVC, single vehicle overturned several times, unknown injuries. Oak Wolfe units arrived and canceled Pleasant Grove units. Crews controlled traffic and assisted EMS with patient care; once released by NCSHP all Oak Wolfe units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR responded mutual aid to Sampson County (Turkey VFD) at the intersection of Old Warsaw Road and Cabin Museum Road for a MVC with injuries. During response all Faison units were cancelled, all Faison units cleared the call.

    Teachey VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with EMS. Teachey MR 16 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 2 arrived patient care was transferred. Once patient was loaded and transported all Teachey units cleared the call.

    Rose Hill VFD responded to West Charity Road at the Pure Mart for a vehicle fire, caller advised smoke coming from under the hood of the vehicle. Rose Hill Car 1 arrived and advised no fire visible, out investigating. Rose Hill Engine 2 arrived and stood by waiting assignment, was found to be overheating no fire. All Rose Hill units cleared the call.

    Kenansville VFD responded to Liberty Square Shopping Center for a smoke investigation call. Kenansville units arrived and started looking where the smoke was coming from. The situation was handled and all Kenansville units cleared the call.

    Thursday, May 2

    Chinquapin VFR responded to South N.C. 50 for a MVC no injuries with power lines down. Chinquapin units arrived and controlled traffic, once the power company arrived, Chinquapin units were released by NCSHP and all Chinquapin units cleared the call.

    Pin Hook VFD responded to James Road near South N.C. 50 for a tree in the roadway. Pin Hook units arrived and removed the tree from the roadway; all Pin Hook units cleared the call.

    Teachey VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with EMS. Teachey MR 16 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 2 arrived patient care was transferred. Once patient was loaded and transported all Teachey units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with EMS. Magnolia MR 1 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 7 arrived patient care was transferred. Once patient was loaded and transported all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD and North Carolina Forestry Service responded to a brush fire. Magnolia and NCFS units arrived and extinguished the fire; once the fire was was completely extinguished and the investigation completed all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Warsaw VFD responded to North U.S. 117 and N.C. 50 was a residential fire alarm activation. Warsaw Command 4 arrived to nothing showing out investigating, Warsaw Chief 1 advised over cooked popcorn in the microwave set the alarm off; all Warsaw units clear

    Friday, May 3

    Magnolia VFD responded to Cemetery Street at North Pope Street for a service call, tree down in the roadway. Magnolia units remove the tree from the roadway, all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Wallace VFD responded to a fire alarm activation. Wallace units arrived and found a false alarm activation, all Wallace units cleared the call.

    Saturday, May 4

    Kenansville VFD responded to Sumnerlins Crossroad Road at Lu Ann’s Child Care for a commercial fire alarm activation. Kenansville units arrived and found a false alarm activation, the alarm system was reset and all Kenansville units cleared the call.

    Kenansville VFD, Duplin County EMS and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Kenansville Bypass for a MVC, single vehicle overturned. Kenansville units arrived and assisted with EMS and controlled traffic. Once released by NCSHP all Kenansville units cleared the call.

    Chinquapin VFR, Lyman VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a MVC with ejection on Pickett Bay Road. Chinquapin units arrived and closed the roadway down, Lyman units split and responded to the scene to assist with roadway closure and responded to Duplin County EMS Station 3 to set up a landing zone for AirLink Air Medical Helicopter. Once the patient had been flown to a trauma center and units released by NCSHP all units cleared the call.
