Warner Robins (Ga.) five-star EDGE and USC commit Isaiah Gibson has made a change to his official visit plans next month.

The nation’s No. 28 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking was set to visit Florida the weekend of June 14, but will now visit Tennessee instead, he tells On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons.

He still has interest in the Gators and could potentially reschedule, but is already locked in for visits to Georgia (May 31), South Carolina (June 7), Auburn (June 10), Ohio State (June 18) and Oklahoma (June 21).

A return official visit to USC hasn’t been scheduled yet, despite him committing there this spring.

Gibson last visited the Vols in late-April, where he got to spend time with defensive line coach Rodney Garner and head coach Josh Heupel.

“I was really supposed to have been to Tennessee many, many times, but I haven’t been able to make it work out, so I really wanted to get back up there and take another look at it,” Gibson told Volquest after the trip . “It was really a nice visit, and I enjoyed everything about it. I got to spend a lot of time with Coach Heupel and Coach Garner. It was all good energy once I got back down there.”

Gibson will be part of a loaded visit weekend in June

In addition to those two, he has connected with the staff as a whole really well. And that has the Vols as one of the schools in contention to flip him away from the Trojans.

“Honestly, I like the energy from all of the coaches, honestly,” Gibson of the coaching staff. “For me, I feel like they have good energy. They don’t make it all about football. They have fun, they talk trash and make it fun. They are still all about making each other. Everyone is happy there, basically. That is really what caught my eye about Tennessee.”

He originally planned to return this weekend for the Vols’ 865 Live event with the likes of Five-Star Plus+ OT David Sanders and five-star quarterback commit George MacIntyre.

But instead, he’ll be on campus in exactly three weeks for what should be another major visit weekend for Tennessee.

The aforementioned Sanders, as well as five-stars Caleb Cunningham and Jaime Ffrench are expected to be on campus that weekend along with coveted four-star targets Jared Smith , Zion Grady , Jadon Perlotte and more.
