Opinion: On the safety of Marion’s Converse Road
On Easter Sunday, before we sat down for our Easter meal, I almost lost my daughter and infant granddaughter. My daughter was walking carefully with her 7-month-old baby girl in a stroller along Converse Road. She heard a car coming from behind so she moved as far over to the side as she could. And then, she was hit. By some huge miracle, she was hit only by the side mirror and was able to keep control of the stroller. She was bruised and badly shaken as you may imagine. We spent the rest of the day in various stages of shock, relief and gratitude that mother and child were not killed or severely injured.
